My first day was what I hoped for – quiet and beautiful. With two weeks to this tiny Island of Ambergris Caye is 15 nautical miles north of Belize City. The island is about 25 miles long and 1 mile wide!
About 1/2 mile to the east of San Pedro in the Caribbean, is a 190 mile long barrier reef which is the largest “living” reef in the world and the only reason to come here, other than the Jungles along the Mayan Mountain and the incredible 400 Mayan ruins. .The country is full of caves and sink-holes, the most famous is the Great Blue Hole, one of the natural wonders of the world, in the Caribbean Sea, about 20 miles south of here.

A lot going on here. Watching basketball finals – I’m a Caitlin fan!
Typical “pool” off the bar’s deck with tubes. If you look in the distance on top, you can see the water breaking off the Reef.
