There was warm water for my Haitian shower. Bad news, The power went out and I showered in the dark!
A Haitian shower consists of filling a plastic tub, about the circumference of my feet, ankle deep with water -hot or cold. Then you take a scoop and wet down your body – turn your heads if you think this vision is too gross. Then you soap up standing outside the tub. Next you dip your scoop into the tub of the remaining water – cold usually, and rinse yourself off. Remember, this is after a 5.5 mile track in 85* heat and 90 percent humidity and standing on your feet all day!
Boy does that shower feel great!
We had a full, busy day with about 186 patients. – I finished my 25,000 vitamin (with iron) count, and separated them into 30 count bags.
Good night. Tomorrow is our last full day.
