As i said in my Permaculture page, the area is full of “edge” people – one of the beliefs of Permaculture is that the edge of ecosystems is where all of the diversity and new plants are grown.  I believe it is also so in our society.  I look forward to meeting and working with my professors at the MMRF in Belize, much as I did in my Permaculture Design Certification class in Naperville, il.  One of the teachers is Starhawk.  She is a Permaculturest, Wicca (as in Witch), author, documentary film maker, and soon to be screen writer.  Her portion is Earth Activist Training as seen below.  Im sure I will write a lot about her.

Other Lecturers are Albert Bates, lawyer,paramedic, graphic artist, and produced two films on ecovillages.  Marisha Auerbach specializes in food production, biodiversity, seedsaving, ecology and useful plants.  This is on top of Christopher Nesbit, the founder of the Maya Mountain Research Farm.
